I bought one and it holds a charge for a long time. I just ordered a second one.
Not Worth It August 18, 2010 RonJonJovi This Play and Charge kit was hardly worth the bargain price I paid for it. The battery won't stay charged for more than a couple of hours of play, even if left charging overnight, and it never shows the battery as fully charge on the screen. If I didn't get a "good" deal on it, I would have asked for a refund, but at the very least, the controller still works if I leave it plugged in.
A Great Alternative July 20, 2010 jlslickt78 My package was delivered very promptly. Everything in the package was as it should be, removed my batteries and plugged the pack into my controller, working as it should. No problems, holds a very long charge. Was perfect, would definitely by again and would recommend this if you are looking to spend less.
NO INSTRUCTIONS!! But otherwise a great product... July 13, 2010 J. Hemphill (North Carolina) Let me start off by saying that I have had playstations I and II in the past so I have never had to worry about replacing batteries in the controllers until I got an Xbox 360.
When I first got the device I was so excited because I wouldn't have to worry about buying new AA batteries! I opened it and it was pretty easy to figure out how to hook everything up in the right place.
However, I didn't know that you had to connect the device to the controller FIRST instead of plugging it in to the console first. Knowing this would have been helpful the first few times I tried to charge it!!
It kept causing the console to freeze or it would cause the power button to flash red and it would not let me turn it off with the controller.
Now that I know you MUST CONNECT THE CONTROLLER UP FIRST, the device has worked perfectly and holds a charge for a very long time!
Another negative is the fact that it will cause the console to turn on by itself if you leave it connected after it finishes charging but other than that the product works very well for me.
Great Deal AND look to see the Battery Life size when buying these charge kits February 23, 2010 JAD 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I am a fairly newbie when it comes to gaming consoles and thier accessories. However because I am, I tend to read and look at things more closely because I am just learning about this stuff. There are many charge and play kits out there. There are also subtle differences between them. This one lives up to its claims and the charge lasts MUCH longer than the standard 1800mAh sets. Don't let the 'off brand' name worry you. A quality product for a great price!
